Om Acupuncture Center
Yong Oh is a licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac.) and has been practicing acupuncture in Chattanooga, Tennessee since 2006. He obtained a Master of Science in Acupuncture degree from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City, and is board-certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). His clinical background includes experience at a vibrant Chinatown clinic in New York City, and extensive studies at the Wang Ju Yi Center for Clinical Channel Theory Research in Beijing, China.

In addition to his work with Chinese Medicine, his other primary interests lie in Meditation and Mindfulness practices. Yong is dedicated to exploring the body-mind through both acupuncture, energetics and meditation, as well as inviting the power of intention and awareness into the healing process. He believes that acupuncture is a powerful modality for physical, emotional and spiritual healing and growth. With a special interest in treating psycho-emotional related issues including stress, anxiety, IBS, insomnia, and depression, he provides a compassionate approach toward allowing the individual to find balance and become active participants in their health and well-being.

Yong holds a B.S. degree in Biology from Virginia Tech University, and an A.A.S. degree in Graphic Design from the Parsons School of Design. He leads mindfulness meditation classes and workshops in Chattanooga and the surrounding area. He has also completed the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction in Mind-Body Medicine, professional training program under the direction of Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn and Dr. Saki Santorelli and has previously taught MBSR courses. He is currently serving as a Board member for Southern Dharma Retreat Center in North Carolina. Yong is a graduate of the 2-year Community Dharma Leaders Program (CDL5) offered through Spirit Rock Meditation Center and is currently in the 4-year Teacher Training at the Insight Meditation Society in Barre, MA. He is a dharma leader with the Chattanooga Insight Meditation Group and started the Chattanooga Outdoor Meditation Group. He is a member of the Acupuncturists Without Borders organization. Yong loves hiking and exploring the Southern Appalachians and the nearby Chattanooga outdoors.
